Jorge villacorta, Academic Director Art critic and independent curator. Degree in Genetics at the University of York, Great Britain, has developed parallel to his scientific work a strong interest in research in contemporary visual arts in Peru. Since 1997, Professor of Art and Communication in the Master of Communications, Graduate School of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. Since 1999 is professor at the Seminary of Interrelation of the Arts, Faculty of Arts at the Catholic University. He was professor of History of Photography at the Institute from 1993 to 1998 Gaudí. He was Paraphernalia S.R.L advisor, art gallery, between 1993 and 1997. He has been responsible for organizing and curated over fifty different exposures. Chaired the Association quidam cultural action for the management of the Sala Luis Miró Quesada Garland of the Municipality of Miraflores, Lima, Peru (2000 - 2002).
Jose Carlos Mariategui, Director of International Projects He was trained as a mathematician and has a Masters in Information Systems at the London School of Economics - LSE (London), where he currently is teaching a doctoral seminar and research. Mariátegui is an influential member of the international new media community. Member of Leistenschneider Collection, a collection of pre-Columbian art and science (www.acervoprecolombino.org). Founder of the International Festival of Video / Arte / Electronica, Lima (www.festivalvae.com). He was a member of the National Cultural Commission of the Government of Peru (2001-2002) and honorary Director of the Casa Museo José Carlos Mariategui (1995-2005). Curator of media art exhibitions internationally as ‘Nueva / Vista: Videokunst aus Lateinamerica’, ViaSatelite (viasateliteperu.org), ‘Videografías In(visible)’ (videografiasinvisibles.org),’Emergentes’ (laboralcentrodearte.org / emergentes/). It also acted as project node Tester (e-tester.net).
Enrique Mayorga, Director of Research and Development He studied Electronic Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. Has obtained a grant for research in the ZKM (Karlsruhe, Germany) in conservation, restoration and assembly of electronic art. During her studies he became interested in human-machine interaction in various fields: from the design of industrial electronic interaction to interaction with electronic systems for musical creation. Subsequently, interest in forms and link more explicit scenes and man-machine fusion. That search leads him to meet and work with various artists, engineers and journalists, working in various artistic and experimental projects that explore the dynamics of interaction, cooperation and coexistence between PLC systems, individuals and groups. In recent years, has conducted several workshops and seminars on techniques and concepts to create new media.
